This document describes the procedures for installing an Audio/Serial Option (ASO) board into an existing Silicon Graphics® CHALLENGE™, POWER CHALLENGE, Onyx™, POWER Onyx, or Reality Station™ system. The ASO is a short mezzanine board that mounts directly on the IO4.
The ASO board provides six serial ports and five audio ports. Each serial port is capable of running at up to 115.2 Kbaud/sec in full duplex mode.

This manual is written for Silicon Graphics system support engineers (SSEs) and third-party field support groups responsible for product installation and testing.
